Every book I read, every tape and CD I listened to said the
same thing. If you really want to be successful at anything,
seek out the very best people in that field and model
yourself after them. To become a super salesman, I had to
find super sales people and study their habits. To become a
profitable businessman, I had to study the habits of
successful business people who already had a solid
documented track record for making money.
The concept of leveraging other people's experience entails
asking someone to help you who has been there and done that
already. A mentor is someone with a proven track record who
is willing to coach you and advise you.
"Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill ...my personal
roadmap
As my business philosophies developed, there was this one
book I read over and over again, 'Think and Grow Rich' by
Napoleon Hill. It became my dominant guiding business
philosophy. Saturating my mind with success, even today I
often find myself listening to 'Think and Grow Rich', when I
am alone in the car. I actually prefer the original version
which was actually narrated by Napoleon Hill himself.
Even though this incredible book was written more than
seventy years ago, it is the philosophical foundation upon
which I built my companies. Today it's still selling in
paperback and I give dozens of copies to friends, employees
and clients. I believe it's one of the most sincere and
personal gifts I could give anyone.
Think and Grow Rich is not optional. You must buy it and
read it, and listen to it many times, over and over again,
as you prepare your mind to become wealthy and prosperous.
"Anything a Man (person) Can Conceive and Believe, You Can
Achieve" --Napoleon Hill--Think and Grow Rich
"Anything a man (person) can conceive, and believe, you can
achieve." I've spent many hours thinking about exactly what
those words mean and how I can apply them to my life. I've
met hundreds of other successful businessmen and
businesswomen who have built their companies, and ultimately
their fortunes, with the concepts they learned from this
book.
